Scenic Golf Club at Glen Ivy in Corona plays across sloping hillsides and canyons

CORONA, Calif. -- Located just south of Orange County, the Golf Club at Glen Ivy is routed through the groves of citrus trees that are a part of Cleveland National Forest. This Ted Robinson Sr.-designed course plays across sloping hillsides and canyons that give each hole not only a unique character but also different, but equally stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The front nine is longer, straighter, and flatter than the more challenging back nine. The holes are tricky not because of their length, but mostly because of the narrow, wildly undulating fairways. The generous landing areas provide a player-friendly balance though. Numerous bunkers are strategically placed throughout the Golf Club at Glen Ivy and water hazards come into play on a few holes.

On blustery days, the wind can definitely prove to be a challenging factor. The golf course has a memorable finish with a dramatic par 4 that plays from atop a mountain down into the valley below. This hole has an intimidating drop of over 200 feet.
