Temecula Creek Inn - Southern California golf resort
Three nine-hole golf courses are the centerpiece of the Temecula Creek Inn golf resort in Southern California. The 3,348-yard Creek and the 3,436-yard Oaks were 1970s Dick Rossen designs. Ted Robinson Sr.'s 3,257-yard Stonehouse course was added in 1990.
The Creek is the least remarkable, with relatively flat, parallel fairways. The Oaks is a solid, traditional test with undulating greens and multitudinous oaks. The Stonehouse is the jewel in the resort's crown, with ample views, elevation changes and numerous rock outcroppings. Scenery and playability are the draws here - no matter which 18-hole combination you play, the course rating won't exceed 72.3 from the tips and slope won't be above 130. Still, your score will depend on how well you read the contoured greens.
