Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad: Take a walk with the King
CALSBAD, Calif. -- Perennially ranked as one of the best resort golf courses in America, Aviara Golf Club is a 7,000-yard, par-72 course designed by Arnold Palmer.
The club overlooks Batiquitos Lagoon ecological reserve, located just a few hundred yards from the Pacific Ocean. Lead architect Harrison Minchew routed the course up and down hills around seven water features to create an interesting layout complemented by landscaping that features more than 100 varieties of native flora.
Golfers are welcomed by a magnificent 32,000-square-foot, Spanish-style clubhouse that features locker facilities, a lounge and the highly rated Argyle Steakhouse. Aviara Golf Club is also home to the acclaimed Aviara Golf Academy.
