I moved from So. California to Arizona 10 years ago. Aviara is still firmly planted in my mind as one of my all-time favorite golf courses. Every hole with water has waterfalls. The flowers and landscaping are fabulous. And the golf course itself is as challenging as it is beautiful. Treat yourself! I will play it again the first chance I get!!!

While in San Diego, go to Torrey for lunch at the gorgeous Lodge, but play your golf at Aviara! We've. Played at every high end course in SOCAL, and Aviara is simply the finest. The course is beautiful - always flowers blooming - the track is challenging with numerous tee options and the staff....Well, the staff are THE BEST in CA.

Augusta of the west this time of the year, flowers blooming to the point of almost being a distraction!

Course is in great shape. Bar has a good happy hour afterwards, $4 Kettle One, etc.
