greens were well maintained
great day to play, niners were playing so the course wasn't busy. Beautiful day, first time out here for me. I really like the chipping and putting practice areas, those were well maintained too.
course needs better maintenance
the course needs better sand in the bunkers. there also needs to be water in all of the ball washers. the white tee markers were not placed on both sides of the tee box.
Solid layout
Adobe creek has always been a good layout with just enough difficulty to make it interesting for seasoned golfers. Add wind to the equation like my last round out there and it will humble just about anyone that has swung a club. There are a few areas that could use a little attention on a few of the holes. The fairways are a little bare in places making a few shots challenging but the greens are rolling well, the pace of play is good and the cost for 18 holes is affordable.
Love the course!
If your goal is good links golf at a great price--- this is the place. Nice layout, great staff and well maintained.
There is no real clubhouse so if amenities are your top priority you might wish to reconsider, but if you came to play golf, this is the right place!
Good Layout and fun course
Some challenging holes and some scoring opportunities. Nice blend of "risk/reward."
Death march
At one point, we had 5 groups waiting to tee off on one hole. That about sums it up. Additionally, we generally play the ball down. After 3 holes we had to adjust as nearly every lie was on dirt or mud. Walked off after 12. On the bright side, the range was good.
Wet but Worth It!
Very nice course very beautiful greens, well maintained greens. We played in the rain and basically had the course to ourselves. Halfway through 18 the sun came out. We decided to play another eighteen and we had a great time. Nice wide fairways for that slicer in the group. Beware of the geese on holes 16-18. Awesome course and great staff!!!
good course for beginners; fairways and greens in good shape; bunkers are dirt and haven't been raked in months; would be nice if water buckets were f
good course for beginners; fairways and greens in good shape; bunkers are dirt and haven't been raked in months; would be nice if water buckets were filled-we stared @ 10 and by noon there was no water to be had...marshalls non-existant
Never play this course if you bring a female playing partner
Just have to tell you that we will NEVER PLAY YOUR GOLF COURSE AGAIN and we will advise anyone we can to NEVER PLAY YOUR GOLF COURSE.
My wife and I were out on your course and your landscaping staff were hovering around us and they were ogling (and whatever) my wife, and it was absolutely disgusting.
ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS and I'm thinking of getting representation to bring a lawsuit.
CHANGE YOUR ACT. CHANGE YOUR LOWLIFE LANDSCAPING STAFF'S ACT.
What a low-life course. You should be ashamed.
Fast play.9
Greens were punched recently and they were slow but true. Wet and dry on the course.
Not at all well-maintained and there was little evidence that anyone was working that day to make things better.
We were amazed to find that not only did the course have few maintenance workers out doing their job, but there were marshes all over, lots of dead grass zones everywhere, several broken ball washes, some with no water, the actual drinking water container at 11 a.m. was empty on the front nine.......very few distance markers.....just a terrible experience altogether. And, we know that the management that operates both Rooster Run and Windsor has Adobe.....it makes all of us wonder what their motivation is and if they take their golfers for fools. I personally am going to cancel out of a group that was scheduled to play there.
Playing in a goat field
After the bankruptcy Adobe seems to be repositioned as a hacker course. I'm all for having the option of trading some amenities for better value. That said this last trip was less than desirable. This was the first round at this course for one player and he described the fairways as 'playing in a goat field.' I don't understand how you get mud puddles all around the cart path and bare dirt on the fairways. With many spots having never recovered from the closure its clear there is greens keeper funding or personnel problems. The club house is closed down and now you can have canned beer from a shack by the range. Even with a GolfNow deal I left feeling like it was not a good value. Based on this round if you're looking for something in this range nearby I would suggest checking out Foxtail South. If looking for a course in Petaluma I would suggest Rooster Run.
Nice course in need of help!
Good value. The greens are well maintained. The rest of the course is suffering. The irrigation and drainage are in obvious need of improvements. Lots of dry spots with other areas severly over watered. The sand traps lack sand. The bottoms were compacted with gravel mixed in. This is a great community course that appears to be at a tipping point. I'm hoping it gets the love and management that it deserves.
Greens very good, fairways so-so.
Greens are in good shape, but the fairways have places with no grass, thin grass or dirt lies.
Stay out of the bunkers
Bunkers are more soil than sand. Greens are pretty good. Fairways for the most part are good, many bare spots. The management needs to pay more attention to what it is like on the course.
Fantastic Landscape!!
If I were a single digit handicap, I'd play this course from the white tees, just so I can brag I broke 80__Great Links Course, with tons of optical illusions....150 yds to the center of the green, might entail a 4 iron, depending on the time of day, and airplanes landing!! This course has no OB stakes!! Anything too far left or right, is the beginning of your Easter Egg Hunt....bring lots of eggs. We played 27 holes, because we really enjoyed the first 18__The putting surfaces on all the greens were true, and for sure, we were better off reading a novel, than trying to read the break. Thanks GolfNow, Adobe Creek was a lot of bang for the buck.
Thin traps, inconsistent watering.
The course has irrigation maintenance issues mixed with lots of dead grass and very soggy areas. And the sand traps were not well maintained. Not nearly enough sand. Overall, a decent layout, but they need to fill the traps and get the irrigation problems under control.
very pleased with this course since it reopened
Very nice course. We hope to play here again soon. We were paired up with 2 gentlemen who were very cordial and good to play with.
Fun track, but needs TLC to be worth the money.
Adobe has a very good potential, but is still working is way back from its neglected state. Would like to see it back at a higher level. Fun track for a fun round.
