You get what you pay for
Went on a Saturday. Pace of play was okay, and 2pm twilight price was great for a weekend ($30), but the course was in pretty bad condition, especially the greens. Didn't regret the round because of the price. In my opinion, the Lakes is preferable to Ivanhoe, but I probably won't golf either again.

Cottonwood is a great local course in east San Diego county.
The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to your needs. We play here almost every week because the best Golfnow deals are found here! There are two 18 hole courses to choose from. Our favorite is Ivanhoe.

Cup placements on any day should be reviewed. Duffers don't need a cup on the side of a tier, or on a hill, nor 5 feet from the side of a green, front, back, or side.

Narrow fairways and long holes.
First couple of holes have very narrow fairways that require some shot making. Can score well if hitting your ball straight. Tees and fairways a bit thin but are better at times.
