Indian Canyons Golf Resort is a Palm Springs, Calif. golf course that gives power to the people - the regular golfing people. It gives you a series of driveable par 4s rather than trying to pummel with monster holes.

It also is in great shape, especially considering its reasonable greens fees ($95 high season) in a resort golf wonderland.

Indian Canyons is not overly showy, but it has some nice scenery with the mountains (particularly hole No. 12). There are four lakes on the course, but rather than shooting straight over huge water clears, most of the time you're just skirting around the wet stuff.

Sometimes, the scenery might even include tourists on horseback heading into the mountains.
