But staff was great everywhere and anytime I encountered them ,,,
Rocklin golf club
Great course, greens are tough the staff is great and the course is in great shape. The best part is you can't beat a great price
I like this course
Course has small greens and the ball rolls well. Good course for the price. At one time probably was a great country club.
Small driving range. Has a decent place to eat. Will play this course anytime.
Right after rains
Drained pretty well. Greens tough but fair.
Elivated greens keeped them in vary good shape after 4 days of rain.
Good for Geese!
We had bought a groupon that was only refundable if the course was closed and despite horrific conditions following two days of torrential rain ,unplayable bunkers, fairways that had Canada geese in ponds! the course remained open. We struggled through 12 holes and quit.
Needless to say the pace of play was great for those holes as we were the only players out. I think the pro shop should gave declared the course closed . Other courses in the area had done so.
outstanding
Technically brilliant course, lots of interesting features and traps but very accessible. Well established with great facilities and staff. Will be back. Wait till you play 18 it's a peach
***RAIN RAIN GO AWAY***
My buddy and I had the entire course to ourselves!! It was great!!! Then it rained on us the entire front9. Made the back9 a little chilly..But we still had a good time. Overall nice layout great outdoor scenery you go over a few bridges and hole4 to hole5 you drive thru a big drainage pipe under the road. Will definitly go back in the spring!!!! ****TURKEY CROSSING ON HOLE 8****
Fun place to golf.
I have played this course several times and really like that they switch the front 9 to now be the back 9. Had a great day, weather was excellent and pace of play was good.
Course has great staff
We were traveling and just happened to check this course out on GolfNow and really glad that we did. Even though the green had recently been sanded, the rest of the course was in great shape.
The staff was very accomidating and pleasant to work with.
Maintenance while playing!!
I stopped playing after 4 holes. First, the maintenance crew drove up to the green as I was putting and started watering. I continued to play until two holes later they were spraying weed eater all around the green and rough as I was approaching. The course is a little rough around the edges and I would never pay full price to golf there.
Fast Greens
The fairways are Bermuda grass and are quite dried out but that could be due to the drought and required less use of water.
The greens are extremely well maintained and very fast.
Overall the course is worth the investment if using a discounted pass. However, I would not pay full price to play.
Awesome!
Course is great for the price. You can't beat a great day golfing.
much improved facility
very pleased to find the course in so much better condition than a year ago. all the work on the tee
boxes, traps and greens has paid off with a much
more pleasing facility. lots of care to bring this course
up to the standard of it competition. will continue to patronize as long as they keep it in good condition.
Great track and solid conditions
This course is very challenging. We play here once a month and it is always in great comdition with very fast tricky greeens. I just want to make one comment about the staff. Absoulutely the friendliest most accomodating crew at any course in the valley. They really are trying hard toi get you to come back and play again and again.
The Midas touch on Midas Ave.
If you haven't played this course, book it now. If you have you know this course becomes your home course. From start to finish this place has respect. The staff rocks. Courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is inexpensive and the beer too. Parking is open and many spots for shade. Opening hole with a par 5 can put you on pace to feel great early. The closing 18th par 3 will fool you too. So many birdie chances that your game can only improve at Rocklin GC. Tis is a gem that doesn't back up much if at all. Rounds are always under 3.5 hours.
Thank you for a beautiful day in the park!
TOO SHORT
We played from the blues and it was just right. The whites may make play a bit faster but take a lot of the challeng out.
Love this course though. Greens were in excellent shape and bunkers are now filed with good sand.
The staff is always Excellent.
lots of sand traps and tricky greens
This is a blue collar golf course. It is not long and the undulations of the fairways makes it interesting. The greens are average but trickily countoured and there are far too many bunkers (sand pits) for the small size of the greens. The driving range is really a joke and the management does not want you to use your driver. There is no food an beverage cart on the course although water and bathrooms are good. The once had a bunch of very friendly young guys at check in but they are not there anymore, why? The Marshalls were once like narcotic cops but now seem to be really more toned down. I think the course is a good deal and fun to play.
Fun
We truly had a wonderful golfing experience at Rocklin. The course was in very good condition and the greens excellent. Water hazards were dry, but what can you expect during a drought.
