Played here several times and think it is a true challenge for the average golfer, long the long pars, and the doglegs. Course is highly recommended for the above average golfers out there. Love this course

For those of you who think this course stinks, it may be your attitude. I've played here frequently over the last 12 years and never had a problem. This is one of the better ex-military courses in the country. Rates are very reasonable. The pro is awesome- always available to assist you in any need. For those of you who have no patientce, and exhibit the "country club" attitude, you may not be the ones to play there. Remember, this IS a public links and the way business is done is more casual. Just politely interrupt the person on the phone and you will be served.
Course is fair to the average golfer, and the greens can be a challenge. Go to have fun. I think the slope rating is a little underestimated. Classic design.
