Desert Princess Country Club - Palm Springs

Desert Princess Country Club throws 27 holes of very different golf at you. On one of the nines, it's a wide-open links-style design with mountain views and few houses. On others, you can almost find yourself playing in someone's backyard. Not that you can't have fun doing that.

This is the Palm Springs desert, but the golf course is very green and there's water galore. The drink comes into play on six holes on the Lagos nine, eight on the Cielo nine, it's eight of nine holes. Designer David Rainville isn't that well known, but he does a good job of creating a resort course that golfers can enjoy without taking a beating.

The Doral Desert Princess Resort is literally right in front of the course. and staying there is one way to get on.
