Great day at the course
Good combination of dog legs. Some holes are narrow and some are wide open. Love the condition of the greens with the different levels. Definitely, will play again in the future.
always a good value
Haven't played in about six months this course was just what I needed course is just challenging enough to be a good test but not overpowering staff always great and course in good shape
Narrow course
This is a narrow course, so if you are spraying the ball around then it is going to be a long day. There are lots of mature trees lining the fairways and protecting greens. This course would benefit from some TLC. Tee boxes and fairways could be much better, and the greens are furry and slow.
my impressions
good course for the price.short, but required course strategy.in order to keep ball in play.off fairway areas were quite a bumpy ride. you really had to pay attention when driving.
Nice day out golfing
It works as a golf course. Nothing to special, but some creative holes. Grass is okay, greens were kept up very nice.
Always a Fun Course
Played 36 holes. Only 10 dollars per person turnaround play. Good deal.
SB Public
course is getting ready for the county amateur, greens a little slow but in good shape. a couple of new bunkers on 18 and a lot of dead tree cleanup. place is always a fun round.
great value.
Love the folks that work here. Very friendly and helpful. Course is a lot of fun and not difficult. For the new or intermediate golfer (which it's 95 per cent of all golfers) this is an excellent value. The food is sandwich fare and grilled sandwiches. Good quality and fair price.
How about that putt!!!
First time playing this course with a GolfNow reservation. The starter was very friendly and got us on our way quickly and a bit earlier than our tee time (which is always a plus). The course is pretty flat with some strategically placed water hazards and bunkers on some holes. The fairways are pretty wide for the most part and the greens were in decent shape. The plus: being able to play an entire round without too much backup and making that first putt for a free round!!!! The negative: the stank of the water treatment plant is strong for a few holes on the back nine. Other than that, this is a good course that has some holes that can beat up your scorecard.
San Bernardino Golf Club is a Hidden Gem
I didn't know the San Bernardino Golf Clib existed until my Dad suggested we golf there. I was really surprised that this is right in San Bernardino.
A shorter course than most, but didn't feel that way with all the challenging water hazards you are forced to hit over.
Was a perfect day for golf and had an amazing day, but I wished I had time to use the driving range....NEXT TIME!
I would highly recommend to anyone that is up for a challenge on a flatter course.
Great price
I was able to play for $10 with a cart. Unfortunately it started to rain and lightening hit. Was only able to play 9 holes. The course gave us a rain check.
First Poor Review
I read poor reviews and sometimes think... Maybe they are used to Country Club courses and aren't giving us econo-golfers a break. Well... I was disappointed this time. The man at the desk was waaaay over talkative. They do a putting contest on Sunday's & he told me to move my ball 3 times.. REALLY??? SSSShhhhhh...... This is for a round of golf here. I signed a petition to have the City of San Bernardino remove trash from the riverbed. Well, that just drew attention to the mess down there as I crossed the bridge back to 18.
As for the course... I rate a course with the price in mind, the facilities potential, and previous experience/conditions (if applicable). The fairway grass is in poor condition, as is the overall surface. Greens were slow (as expected). And I have played the course in much better condition.
I ordered a couple things at the turn & the girl looked at me like I was crazy when I excused myself to grab my wallet out of my bag, surely I'm not the only one to ever do that. Tried to call an order in @9 and the phone system pushed me into vm, weird.
this course is very affordable.
beautiful course maintained well. moderate course to play.
Sunday in the sun
The course was in good shape, the greens where rolling very smooth. We truly enjoyed course..
sbdo public gc
for the price and the drought we have been in the course----mainly greens were in good shape-----not a bad choice for the inland empire area public courses
Poor conditions in general
2nd time playing the course. Can't believe how bad course was. Tee boxes with divots everywhere. Couldn't tell what was fairway and what wasn't. Grass was spotty everywhere, often times a tee shot to the fairway ended on dead grass with green patches surrounding the ball, negating a good shot. Won't go back for a long time hoping grass improves.
Small greens
This course is rough in the fairways but the greens are challenging to hit because they are small. Many trees line fairways and require target golf instead of always blasting away with driver. Bar is well stocked with good food and kind people working all over course. Prices for golf are excellent and a good place to work on your game.
Nice, Old Course
This course has many trees. Which makes it beautiful but at the same time challenging for a beginner like me.
The water hazards and sand traps also make it challenging. I really enjoy playing here. This was my 2nd time....I will definitely be back.
Good course.
Its my third time going to this course. Im still new to golfing, so its not that hard of a course. The reason i say that is because the guys i go with play a lot of other course, and say this one is not as difficulty.
I like there driving range, and they have a place to practice sw and chipping.. Great staff, food is good too..
