Experience At San Bernardino Golf Course
For the price - $12, I have no reason to complain. Other then the greens, the whole course looks like "ground under repair" due to lack of maintenance. It appears they're letting the course go.
Requires some shot making
Fairways a bit lumpy and bare.
Greens rolled fairly well.
Sand in traps.
Some challenging Tee shots with tree locations.
Not easy, but challenging course.
Awesome Value. Good people!!
This course offers great value for your dollar. Course is short but still offers a fun challenge with some narrow fairways and smaller greens. Greens rolled true and were in great condition. Fairways were a little below average with some spotty parts, but you're also not paying $50+ to play. Never found a bunker, so I can't attest to their condition. Yes, on a couple holes you can smell the sewage plant, but it was short lived. Frank in the pro shop really lives up to his friendly reputation. We arrived and were queued behind two 3-Somes. Asked to go off the back nine and were accommodated. Played in about 3.5 hrs, but could have easily shaved off more if I wasn't playing with a super beginner. Overall - Great Value and friendly staff.
Fun course, great value
Greens were in great condition, some patches in fairways, overall a great course for the money. Only $18 with a cart after 11:00 am on weekends..... Can't beat that..:. It's been a while since I played here, but we.will definitely be back. .
Excellent staff . Great greens . Bad fairways
The staff was super cool.
The greens where excellent .
But the fairways where shot ...
if they cleaned up the fairways it would be a great course
Needs some upkeep
Greens where in good shap that is the positive. Price is cheap also a positive. Negative is the smell is terrible it's next to a sewage company. And the fairways where in very bad conditions not only where there branches everywhere but even when you hit the fairway you are in hard dirt high grass or rocks. Could be a good bang for your buck if they worked in fairways
Tough lies
Greens were mediocre. Fairways spotty. Not much sand in bunkers.
Great day to golf!
As I enter the pro shop Tom was there always smiling and he knows me by my first name as well as my last name. The course is in good shape considering the drought and it is my "go to" when golfing local. Frank and the rest of the staff are all really nice people and I would suggest this course to all my friends.
San Bernardino Golf Club
I paid Golf Now for a tee time. If I went directly to the golf course I could have save the golf now fee and paid less for the round of golf. Course is in bad shape but it was till a nice walk in the park.
Excellent Pace
Fairways good even with drought conditions. Some greens need a little work. Major brown patches. Pace superb for playing late morning. Staff great.
Not a difficult course.
A lot of dry dirt areas in the fairway due to the drought.
The course is challenging enough for my group
The staff are super friendly and the clubhouse provides water and an ice machine free of charge. They even provided a cooler with disposable towels soaking in iced water at the 10 the tee, a welcome cool down on a hot day.
Great walking course
Greens & Course in great shape considering the drought. Friendly staff. We played early in the AM & pace of play was wonderful--finished in under 4 hrs.
To the grounds crew
The course is very rough are the edges, the place needs to be riddled up and the greens need to be mowed and rolled. One last thing, the place has a wonderful clubhouse with a nice bar, but no barstools. WTH!
CASUAL GOLF OUTING
COURSE IS VERY FORGIVING. THERE ARE ALOT OF DIRT AREAS ON THE FAIRWAYS. IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY...115 AND IF WE STOOD OVER THE DIRT/ BROWN AREAS SEEMED 10 DEGREES HOTTER. NICE TREE GROWTH ON THE COURSE BUT MAJOR MESQUITO INFESTATIONS UNDER THE TREES. HAD A COUPLE VERY PLAYABLE SHOTS UNDER TREES BUT HAD TO REPLACE OUR BALL TO AVOID BEING EATEN ALIVE AND WITH ALL THE MESQUITO BORN ILLNESSES GOING AROUND WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT. OTHER THAN THAT WAS A GOOD DAY FOR A HOT DEAL.
Great course for the price
For a reasonable fee a fun game can be had here. Consistent greens although a bit slow and hard sand traps offer an interesting round.
1970s style course
This is in our steady rotation we play here once a month .
Sometimes we can play within 3 hrs sometimes 5 hrs , course usually is in good condition only issue I've run into is duck leave little presents on a few greens , I'd also suggest don't touch the water (toxic) . Club house has a great vibe and the range is decent ( they have 2) ..
There are some really great challenging holes here and I'd say pending the weather you should be able to collect a few birdies. Bring extra balls as sometimes balls disappear
Good Test
Nice Course to walk on a cooler day.....course is short but not to worry plenty of old trees to keep score in check...have played there for years and always find from fellow players that even being a short course it can play very tough if hitting fairways is not your game.
