Over all was a very good experience with the staffs and course condition. Public Course , Very good value.
My strongest impression about this course was: "Redneck".....Funny huh?
I never thought we are still living in the old days, or maybe it's just Livermore city in particular.
So, let me share with you about my experience through this course.
*** In short.
1) On my 2nd hole, an old (White man) showed up with his golf car. While I was preparing my tee shot. He parked next to me and literally scolded me by asking me: How could I cut in before him?, WHAT???? again???,
And as serious as he was, looking at me like I did something wrong. He added, " how you Deliberately XYZ........."
Well...... the only thing I could say was....
" What time did you start ? ".
He paused for 5 seconds, and started letting out the truth.
" Well, I started on the 5th hole and because I got a Unlimited Golf Pass here...... so..........,,,,, " Long-Pause.
So, I had to interact with this guy by letting him know that I am just trying to have a good time here, AND, I don't need anyone to Step On my Toes- TODAY. So, he backed down and allowed me to pacify him a bit.
So, he stared at me, AND I did the one of the best thing a Good-Sport can do.
"Do you mind, I take a water break AND if you want, you can go ahead" I said.
"Yeah," so there he went.
2) So there I was enjoying myself with this Golf Course on a Sunny Afternoon.
AND, again to my undivided attention, 2 middle-aged golfers (white man), came up behind my game, while I was preparing my tee shot on the 5th hole. This time, I got a cut-in the land without any courtesy nor any golf-etiquette . LOL.
BUT, what's even more interesting was, one of them turned around, literally looked back and GAVE me a finger gesture....
What again? I thought....
So, I was accused of cutting in the land first AND now, I am being cutting in the land RUDELY, lack of manner.
Conclusion: Forget these kind of people here.
2nd Conclusion: What's with Livermore City?
3rd Conclusion: Is this what Redneck like? (Which I never used this word),
4th Conclusion: Had a better understanding of "Civilization".
All and All, the civil-structure with this Golf Course was good. (For the price and value). Including the staff and amenities, the framed driving range before the Tees, and even the putting green and sand-bunker practice area were all fine.
However, the civil-mindsets here was NOT Good - In fact, Failure Grade come to think of it.
**** And, this is just my honest opinion and feedback. I hope it's not too harsh to reveal the opinions.
Done with my review. I hope it's entertaining a bit for you.
Good for first timers only.
Course needs attention and staff needs a lesson on being professional.
This course has green fees not in line with the maintainence of the entire course
This course is short n easy, a good place to practice... however, their green fees are not in alighnment with course conditions... in laymens terms, the course is a horse pasture with greens on it.
Great value for practice
Great value when you want to practice and learn. I went there with my kids and friends. Not having many people around allows you to focus on practice.
Great value & good track for a municipal course!
Proshop staff are great guys! Course is challenging and greens are in good shape! Great regulation 9-hole course.
Great course for a quick affordable round.
Course has an old country club field. Very easy to walk and playable. Winds among a housing tract but still very playable. It is 9 holes played twice for 18. Greens are crowned so shots need to be precise and conditions are muni, but you get what you pay for. Super friendly staff.
