There's not one, but two Pete Dye courses tied to the famed La Quinta Resort & Spa in La Quinta. The Dunes Course is Dye's version of a relaxing round.
It does have nice mountain views and wider fairways than you'd expect. Of course, it also has the treacherous 414-yard par-4 17th. It's only ranked one of the hardest holes in the country by The PGA of America. Hey, it is still Pete Dye.
