Course was flat and open. The course was well kept and maintained. Greens were good and rolled true. Slight impressions stayed on greens from previous players due to saturation. Tees were mostly good but a few were not consistent with the rest falling and not level( tips). Overall it was a good course for the price and I would recommend this course if you're in the area.
Good value course
The course has been maintained fairly well. It has good green color fairway in this dry northern CA weather. Green is surprisingly good and fast, close to tournament grade. Rough overall is good, not too difficult. The only draw back is the large birds poop that you need to walk carefully not to step onto it. I think it is too much more than it should be. Other than that, it is a good course to play.
Enjoyable course
A nice course for a bogey golfer who tends to spray shots. Many of the holes are forgiving. Balls end up on another fairway, able find and play. Par 3 holes most interesting w/ water in play on 3 of 4. Great course and staff!
Big hitter
All the courses I have played on the GolfNow app have been great value summer hit and miss with the conditions but overall it is fun to play different courses that hot deals during the week or a great value for good luck Hit them Long and straight !
Coarse conditions
In great shape at a great price Tuesday and Thursday
Course was in great shape. First time playing as I travel frequently. Pace of play was a little slow but we didn't tee off till 1120 so to be expected on a Saturday. We finished in a little under 5 hours for the 4 of us. We road since carts were included but course is outstanding for walking.
Staff ia Fantastic. Course is Good!
First, kudos and much appreciation to Ben in the Pro Shop who stayed late - after closing, waiting in the parking lot, so I could pickup my lost phone and wallet - which he went out and searched and found on the cart. Well done Ben and THANK YOU!
All the staff we met were courteous and very friendly.
The course itself is fun to play. Lots of trees and a few water hazards too. If you can hit it straight, you're gonna have fun.
Fairways are well kept. Greens were immaculate and very consistent. Pace of play was what I would expect at a municipal course on a beautiful Bay Area Sunday. A little under 4 hours & 30 minutes.
Would absolutely recommend taking a trek to Hayward to play SkyWest.
Thanks for a great time and the exceptional service!
Skywest: beginner-friendly, casual game, very open and long course
Skywest is a great course for setting up a casual game amongst friends. Very beginner-friendly, and by that I mean most of the fairways extend quite a bit to cover slices or hooks. I'd highly recommend driving a cart because there are a lot of par 5s. Very fun and chill. Good pace.
green in terrible state
Course in great condition. Air raided the greens a couple weeks ago. They need to roll the greens. Soooo slow. If they don't fix the greens I won't play here again
Great Value Golf
The course condition was poor only because of the aeration. Other than that play Skywest.
Good but not great
We arrived at he course about 2 hours before tee time and decided to start with some breakfast at the on site restaurant. The food was really good and very large portions for the price. After we finished breakfast the staff asked if we were golfing and what our tee time was. We still had a little over an hour but the gentleman at the desk asked if we wanted to just tee now, as another twosome had no showed. We jumped at the opportunity, and were told that we shouldn’t run into anybody for quite some time. Unfortunately that is where the quick round went awry. Caught up to the threesome in front of us by the third hole and the rest of the round took about 4 1/2 hours. Marshal came by and promptly said, nothing we can really do about it. There were two foursomes and two five somes in front of them. Other than that an enjoyable round, greens had just been aerated, so that was a bummer. But if you want nice greens you have to do certain upkeep to keep them that way.
Be forewarned though, if you like quite this is not the course for you. It is next door to an executive airport, so there were plenty of planes flying about.
Simple layout but trees make life interesting
Loved this course. First time playing Skywest, despite living here 5 years, and we'll certainly be back. Finally discovered a course on the East Bay that doesn't leave you with an upward (or downward) lie for every shot! Good pace of play - no longer need to allow 5+ hours for a round of golf - and the breakfast sandwich was superb!
Great value
I have played this course quite a few times because of the great prices and tee times on Golf Now! Always a good practice course as it offers a lot of diversity yet generally forgiving fairways for us "average" golfers. I will return in the future!
Great course for beginners
Great staff, very friendly.
Some Ball wash stations aren't working. Soap should be out on Ball washer as it stinks.
Bermuda ugh
The layout has some fun holes. A bit longish 6400 from the whites. My main concerns were the fairway rough and the rough around the greens. I lost three balls in seemingly short rough just off the fairway. And around the greens the thick grass was more penal than one would like considering the length. Overall I would play again
Nice course good practice course
Gotta hit them straight and you will have a good day.
