U.S. Open Tickets Sold Out
for 14th Straight Year

FAR HILLS, N.J. - Tickets for the 2000 U.S. Open, June 12-18, at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, Calif., sold out at 32,500 per day as soon as the application deadline expired on July 31, 1999.

The USGA will forward written confirmations or rejections of all ticket applications starting September 30, 1999. There will be no telephone confirmations provided.

This is the fourteenth consecutive year the U.S. Open has been a sellout, beginning with the 1987 Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif. Pebble Beach Golf Links will also be the host site for the 1999 U.S. Amateur Championship from Aug. 16-22.
