Women's Golf Has Big Day
in Final Round of BYU Invitational
Chip Shot: Natalie Nakamura Finishes Tied For Fifth With A 54-Hole Total Of 230 After Shooting A 74 In Final Round. Lady Dons Move Up To 6th After Tying For Best Team Score On Final Day With 303 On Final 18 Holes
Springville, UT (September 14, 1999) The USF womens golf squad moved up to sixth place after tying for the best team score of the day in the final round of the BYU Invitational at Hobble Creek Golf Club.
The Lady Dons shot a team total of 303 over the final 18 holes and finished the event with a 54-hole total of 951. Texas El-Paso won the event with a 54-hole total of 915, which was 14 shots better than second-place California. Rounding out the top five were Brigham Young (934), Hawaii (939) and Washington State (947).

Erin Rogers (85-83-74242) and Susie Laing (88-78-76242) tied for 30th place. Also competing for USF were Hejin Koo (37th, 85-76-83244) and Lisa Chen (53rd, 90-80-79249).
USF will next be in action when the team travels to the Northern Arizona Fall Invitational on September 20-21.
