Men's Golf Finishes
10th At The Tucker Invitational
San Diego (Oct. 4, 1999) - The San Diego State men's golf team finished 10th at the 1999 William H. Tucker Invitational, played at the Championship Golf Course in Albuquerque. SDSU fired a score of 890 (+26) during the 54-hole invitational that featured four top-25 ranked teams. The Aztecs finished just one stroke behind 12th-ranked Texas.
Eleventh-ranked Brigham Young, bolstered by four players in the top-10 individuals, shot 856 (-6) to take home the team title.
The Aztecs were led by junior Scott Piercy, who finished third after firing a three-under par 213. Ryan Donovan's 72-71-78-(221, +5) placed him tied for 26th.
