PEBBLE BEACH It took an extra hole, but Lanny Ballew and Butch Pressley from Chimney Rock GC captured the 32nd NCGA Four-Ball (Two-Man) Net Championship Sept. 10 at Spyglass Hill GC.
Ballew and Pressley were four strokes behind William Land Park GC twosome of Wence Galindo and Mark Patterson, 60-64, going into the final 18. However, the winners carded a net 63 to force a tie when Galindo and Patterson shot 67 and both teams had 17-under-par 127s.
Chimney Rock then won the title on the first extra hole.
