Sept. 9-10 -- Spyglass Hill Golf Course

PEBBLE BEACH – It took an extra hole, but Lanny Ballew and Butch Pressley from Chimney Rock GC captured the 32nd NCGA Four-Ball (Two-Man) Net Championship Sept. 10 at Spyglass Hill GC.

Ballew and Pressley were four strokes behind William Land Park GC twosome of Wence Galindo and Mark Patterson, 60-64, going into the final 18. However, the winners carded a net 63 to force a tie when Galindo and Patterson shot 67 and both teams had 17-under-par 127s.

Chimney Rock then won the title on the first extra hole.

127 – Lanny Ballew and Butch Pressley, Chimney Rock, 64-63 (won playoff); Wence Galindo and Mark Patterson, William Land Park, 60-67.

131 – Jim Cover and Dennis Froehler, Valley Hi, 61-70.
