I agree with everything that caddie and canty had to say about Sherwood. I have memberships at clubs all over town and Sherwood is the worst of the lot. The conditions and service need some attention. It was mindblowing to hear the Pros give the course rave reviews. They must be playing a diffrent course than us. Also, if you are the Womens US Amature champ they will give you a membership.

Management. Management. Management. That's business 101. At Sherwood it's all about deflection. Nobody takes resposibility. The manager of the club is SO smart that he is trying to save money by turning the lights off in the club. Ever try to clock out in complete darkness? That's fun bumping around in the dark trying to find the time clock. I could go on and on but im tired and have to get to work early to catch a loop. That's if any members show up to play.

Too wet, drives plug. Lift clean and place everyday. Cartpath only 99.9% of the time. The ruff is unplayable most days, creating punchout situations all too often. Absoluty not a play everyday club, maybe that's why it's becomming harder and harder too make a living out there, nobody wants to pay and who could blame them? I wouldn't want too. It isn't fun playing in those conditions for Pros let alone the everyday member. And get this, the head greenskeeper thinks it's cute to have his dogs ride around in the cart with him. Yeah, it's fun when a member, who may have saved his whole life to get here, hits one in the bunker and the ball comes to rest in a paw print, yeah that's real cute.

If it weren't for the head pro Chris, not the dir. of golf, and the assistant pro Lance that place would fall apart. Those two are the glue that keep Sherwood somewhat functional, and believe me they do it handcuffed. The csddiemaster is so handcuffed most days he doesn't even get to work until 10am. Who has ever heard of a caddiemaster who gets to work after dawn? One time he even asked me, a caddie, at 10am when he got there, who was on the course? I'm still flabergasted. Sherwood may be a great layout but that would be the only great thing about the place.

It's the only place i've ever worked where I make less now than I did 6 years ago. Look up backwards up in the dictionary and you get Sherwood CC. And those poor members I feel so bad for them. NOT!

The layout is fantastic as well as an outstanding location. The management team may be the worst in the business. If Tiger ever decides to change locations for his tournament Sherwood wouln't even be a "run of the mill" club. The week of the tournament is the only week of the year it's in good shape. And did I mention how bad the management is? The absolule worst of any club of that caliber or the caliber Sherwood used to be on.

Sherwood has the worst management team of any private club i've been associated with. The course is always so wet that often your drives will backup a foot or more or just plug where it lands. The greens are okey at best day to day. It seems to me, and I have worked there 10 years plus, that the only time the course is in playable condition is when Tigers tournament is in town and then it gets rave reviews. Mindboggling. I'm sure Graham McDowell loves the play there. I'd never ever ever join Sherwood even if they paid me to join.
