Carmel Highland Golf Resort

Carmel Highland Golf Resort, a Doubletree Resort, tumbles across the sloping hillsides just north of downtown San Diego. It has a central location near many attractions that make it ideal for family vacations and golf outings. In addition to golf, the resort also offers tennis courts, pools, a fitness center, and dining options. The parkland layout is a long hitter's paradise that will also reward careful strategy. William F. Bell, creator of the famed Torrey Pines course, designed the layout. The hilly terrain provides undulation in the fairways, which are nicely complemented by the manicured greens. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers that will require some deft course management. Although it is a fair challenge, Carmel Highland's golf course is still gentle enough for beginners.
