Modesto Municipal Golf Course

Modesto Municipal Golf Course is a nine-hole course that has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1939. Unlike some executive nine-hole courses, you'll get full-length holes and a chance to work on your short game. It's an excellent layout for beginners to get some practice but it will still satisfy more advanced golfers who are looking for a quick but challenging round. The small greens demand accuracy and you'll also have to keep a close eye on your club distances. The occasional water hazard comes into play and there are also a few bunkers lurking throughout. The par-35 layout isn't overly difficult but you may be surprised at how much it makes you think. In addition to the golf course there is also a driving range and three practice greens nearby that are also open to the public.
