Best golf course period..Great greens and under the ground is the worst rock bed on the planet.

But you would never know it for the course has a great bed of dirt and super excellent soil from the 60 plus years of making it and A+ golf course..

Also known for it's great greens and partly on the last of the mountains , before the valley..

My father was the Supt of the course from 1958 to 1989 and myself , not just raise there, I also worked on the course too from 12 yrs of age till age 22..

Host course every even years in the 60's to the early 80's as the north-south matches as well as the California state junior state championship as well

The MG&CC since the early 1960's was and still in known as one of the best Greens in the valley and State of California

A must to play and see with the back nine in the back of the course with rare animals and view of the great sierra foothills, is and must see,.

only five miles from Merced, you'd think if you're playing in the evenings that no one else is there but you,,

Big trees and many of them all through out the 120 acres course where and sun glow red off the trees in second to none.

First built as a nine hole course in 1926 and completely change from a nine hole to an 18 hole championship course...

Though the ground below is rocky and hard pan, you would never know it..EVER..

I RATE IT A 4.5.. and enjoy its beauty.
