Bailey Creek Golf Course is situated along the shores of Lake Almanor with Mount Lassen serving as the backdrop. The course has a traditional mountain design that is both scenic and challenging. It's one of the best public mountain golf courses in northern California. From the 7,040-yard back tees, the layout will challenge even seasoned golfers but the forward tees are player friendly enough for beginners and casual golfers. There are four lakes that come into play throughout and more than 50 bunkers are strategically placed along the fairways and greensides. The final hole is a tricky par 4 laced with bunkers. Long hitters might want to try flying the fairway bunker, allowing for a short iron to the green. In addition to the golf course, Bailey Creek also offers a practice facility with a large grass and mat driving range, putting green, and a chipping area with a trap.
