Gabilan Course at Ridgemark Golf & Country Club

Ridgemark Golf & Country Club sits between two mountain ranges, Gabilan and Diablo, which inspired the names of the club's two courses. The Gabilan Course is the longer and more difficult of the two, mostly because of its tricky par-3s that stretch to more than 200 yards. There are a variety of challenges in store but they are balanced somewhat by the wide-open, player-friendly fairways. The two most challenging holes on the golf course come one after the other, the 11th and 12th. The former is a par 4 with out-of-bounds to the left and a hazard on the right that funnels into a bottleneck green, followed by one of the course's long par 3s. Golfers will have to play into prevailing wind on this hole, making the carry past a barranca even tougher.
