Best Greens around!!
Best Greens around!! Great course for the price when booking on golf now. Course has made a complete 180 in the past 6 months.
Great price, great greens
Got in @ $23 with cart - great price.
Greens were in great shape on 11/12/12.
Layout is not long, but greens are challenging.
Bar is closed on Mondays during winter :(
Course is well manicured
More visible distance markers should be posted. The current ones are not readily visible.
I like the par 3's bacuase they are long at the range of 200 yards .
Golf cart run out of juice.
That was my first time golf there, course condition was ok but golf cart run out of juice at 16th hole, too bad! Did not finish my game, I will give it another try!
greens in very good shape
escondidio is a great deal for the money...not the longest course (6100 from the tips) but it is in good shape. the greens were punched over 2 weeks ago and have healed nicely, fairways are in good shape(#8 was begining to brown out but still plenty of grass)a couple tee boxs show the affects of being in the same place to long...overall the course is well worth the 25 minute drive san diego.this was a privite course so it has alot of older members(husbands ansd wifes) so some time play can get a little slower especally on weekend afternoons,no cart girl during the week.
Good course for the price.
Scorecard lacks slope rating and pictures of the layout of the holes. The couse was in good shape and the greens were still healing from a recent punching. Mature trees, fluffy sand and moderate hills. Quick and friendly service in the pro shop.
Short course that plays longer if you miss the fairways!
Escondido Country Club is a good golf course, well maintained with a friendly staff. It puts a premium on hitting the fairways as the rough gobbles up your ball and forces you to hit shots with a different trajectory to the green. The greens roll well, although on this day they had punched them earlier in the week. I had played before the punch and they were consistent and rolled a strong 9-11 on the Stimp meter, not tour fast, but very puttable.
nice setup
Course is player friendly, not to easy, greens are what makes the course. When speed is up, they are very hard to keep from 3 putting. Am not tired of playing this course. Would play consistently.
Friendly Staff
Course had recently ( played on Saturday, course aerified and top dressed on Tuesday) Greens were playable but bumppy and slow.
Tees and fairways were better than in the past.
Bunker maintenance needs attention and training of the maintenance staff. Bunkers were raked by machine, but were not dressed afterward to eliminate 1-2 inch ruts where sharp turns were made.
Course is good for a fair player.
Aftter showing up to play we were notified the greens have just been punched and four holes were not playable. We would need to skip #7 & 8 and 17 & 18 and proceed back to hole 1 and replay 1 thru 4 to complete the 18 holes. They apologized and advised if we wanted to cancel our tee times they would see we got a credit. We played and enjoyed the round except for the plugged greens.
Bill
Nice course to play when it is not crowded.
I like playing Escondido CC because it is close to my home. The staff are friendly and the course is reasonably maintained.
overall ok.
friendly staff....greens need cleaning of debris...fast greens, challenging. Bathroom accessibility on back nine is none existent, fairways are conditions are very average.
Value course
Cheap and fun, usually decent greens. Straightforward gc, but no clubhouse turn for food/drinks so stock up!
This course has awesome greens
Played in 4 hrs. No one around. Great greens!!!!!!
nice greens
overall pretty fun track good mix of holes greens always nice and look like some work around fairways and tee box is paying off
It get better every time we play
This course needs work but is getting it and changes each time we play, nice course to work the irons and very reachable par5 and par3. MUST TRY THE BURGERS AND SPECAIL BEERS!
Course has been neglected for some time
This is a short course that has seen better days. The greens are the only part of the course that are in good condition
