This course is quickly becoming my favorite. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition and the day was gorgeous. The doglegs here make you think your shots out, you can't just fire away and be fine for the next. I like that. The bunkers though I was able to avoid them this round looked to be in better than most courses bunkers with playable sand. Several of the par fours are short enough to be good birdie opportunities but you have to be thoughtful about them or they will turn into boggy holes for most. If this one has been on your list to give a try, like it was for me. Make the drive and have a good round, you'll fall in love.
Interesting Layout
Several of the holes on this course have "doglegs" that are at 90 degree angles. Makes it impossible to reach the greens in one shot. It forces you to use your long irons instead of Driver, if you are a long hitter.
Extremely Challenging Layout... Average Conditions
Our group only paid $15 per player plus $2.49 GolfNow.com booking fee via a Hot Deal so the price was definitely good for 12:45 weekday tee time. As for the value of price vs quality of course, it was just about right. I would not personally recommend paying $30+ to golf this course because there are other courses in the area that are in better condition for $30.
The layout of this course is extremely challenging. Most of the fairways are narrow and tree lined. There are quite a few coinciding holes so OB is not really an issue for most holes if you error to the side of the fairway that has a coinciding hole.
There are quite a few dog leg holes that almost turn 90 degrees sharp, so you have to manage your tee shot and layups properly to get the best look into the dog leg green.
Most greens are 20 yard circles or smaller, which is considerably smaller than most of the golf courses in the area. The course is mostly green, however the fairways are not super well maintained so the lie conditions vary from shot to shot even if you stay in the fairway. Most of the greens were in decent condition, however the greens are very slow and do not roll like a pool table, the putts would move around a little bit on the way to the hole. There was at least 1 green that had some sort of disease or something that had a fairly large section that had no grass so we putted through it but I guess you could take relief and move to a different angle if you did not want to putt through it.
I have lived in this area for quite a while and have been aware of this course and the general condition so I knew pretty much what to expect. But if you are looking to play a different course with extremely hard scoring conditions for a fairly low price, this is the course for you.
If you are looking for a meticulously maintained course with pristine fairways and true rolling greens that you are always rewarded for pure shots... do not golf here.
All in all I had a fun round, but I wrote this review to help others know exactly what they are getting into if they decide to golf this course.
Good and Traditional Layout
Good Weather and don't paly into the many old trees.
Beware of woman at front desk, shes made at the world
The woman at the front desk to check in is very unprofessional, don't know what her problem is
Staff
The lady at the counter was very unfriendly. She went to me at the driving range and asked me if I was ready and I said sure. She said come on in and get you cart. I went in and she said so you ready now and I stated in a few, my buddy is just pulling up and he will hit a few balls. Just want the cart now so I can load it. She said you need to go now it's your time. I looked at my watch and I noticed I had a few minutes. She said there is a huge crowd of ten after your tee time so you need to go now..... I said fine. how about if I let them go and she said it will be a long wait for you then. You will be waiting a long time. So I said ok. I get to the tee and there are two people 2 team ahead. I asked what time they start and find they were to go before me so they let me go. This was not the crowd she mentioned where I actually noticed nobody around. As we played there, we come to see there was nobody behind except those two. We even stopes at the club house for a while and nobdycame by. And also the parking lot was even almost empty at that time. I believe she was being this way because we had such cheap tickets to play from the web.she politely could have been truthful where then we could have had more fun. Last weekend I went there to just use the range and she was also the same way. Very rude and pushy. Even when I was trying to talk to her she would blow me off and thought other things were more important. Anyways. For the value it was GrEAT! But that service was horrible. Bar tender was awesome!!!!!! Great customer service! Hate to leave a comment like this but had too. This place may be loosing business due to the behaviors.
Hidden Gem
Greens were slow from being punched .... No big deal you can tell they still are true. Challenging doglegs elevation changes really a fun golf course . The food is really good too! Will play again for sure!!!!!
Fair conditions
They recently punched the greens and tee boxes. Greens were real bumpy sand very soft. Otherwise in good condition.

this course takes you back to the 50's and 60,s era
Great golf course for all levels! Challenging dog-legs and well maintained greens, but, a bit slow. Very welcoming GM and friendly staff makes each visit a fun one! Great breakfast and lunch menu; generous bar and great drink rates. Well worth the drive; wish time allowed us to play there more often.
