We were here a few years back. Even though the facilities were run down, I rated this course very good, because of the low greens fees and being just a unique and super fun course. The rolling terrain and design makes for lots of options of club choice and it does not punish handicappers. If you like serene desert areas this is for you. You have to be alert, because the routes between the holes are not well defined. We found ourselves lost and on the wrong hole a couple of times. The sandwiches at 19th were good and service was very friendly.

This a hidden jewel in California !!! Great layout, but I will say that it's been a few years since I played the course (Tiera del Sol) and would say that this course is a great venue with a great layout, distance, and manicured greens. A course I'd like to come back and play many times again...needless to say...a Bruce Devin designed course !!! Would even consider settling down in California City for some great golf and a 'relaxed' environment !!! Not to say...you're not far from the Rosamund / Willow Springs race track, Lancaster and Palmdale if you need to go shopping. Am thinking of selling my place in L.A. and enjoying a community of golf, relaxation and beautiful photography !!!
