HENDERSON, Nev. - Without a doubt, The Legacy Golf Club is a masterpiece.

Despite a week of constant rain in Southern Nevada, The Legacy looked in fine shape over the weekend.

arizona golf arizona golf arizona golfThe Legacy, located in Henderson - the nation’s fastest growing city, adjacent to Las Vegas - is one of the top courses in Nevada, according to several publications.

The par-72, 7,233-yard course was voted the best course in Nevada by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the No. 1 public course in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Business Press and one of the top 10 courses in Nevada by Golf Digest.

This nationally acclaimed facility is complete with rugged lava gathering, multiple tier fairways and large undulating greens. There is also contrasting desert flora and native grasses.

The course is highlighted by “The Devil’s Triangle,” which is a series of three challenging holes on the back nine - Nos.11-13 - that can make or break your round.

Hole No. 10, for example, is nicknamed “The Suits.” This 193-yard, par-3 provides the most distinctive tee boxes in the area, according to course officials. Golfers get the opportunity to select to tee off from either a diamond, heart, club or spade shaped tee box.

Talk about Las Vegas cheese. But if you are a tourist, this perfectly fits the stereotype.

Let’s just say golfers need to play their cards right if they want to survive this trio of holes.

This links-style course features rolling terrain, well bunkered and lighting fast elevated greens to go along with slopping fairways that wind through desert areas.
